What’s the go with PLR?

Private Label Rights (PLR) articles are everywhere!  You can also find them on just about any topic you can poke a stick at!

If you’re like most people, keeping your website content fresh and up to date can be a struggle, so that’s where PLR comes in.

Is it ok to post this stuff on your website?

There is one answer to this question:  "It depends".

If the content is being sold to other people (which is the case for 99.999999% of the PLR packages out there), then you will need to rewrite it first.

But if however, the content is at least 30% unique and doesn’t need to be rewritten, then you’re free to post it on your website without any penalty.

You must understand that many PLR packages have been sold to 100’s if not 1000’s of other people before you. Now consider what somebody would think if they came across your site and realised that you had the exact same content as somebody else!  How would that make you look to them?  Credible?  I think not!

But it’s not all bad news.  Sites like my web marketing services site offer PLR packages of 10 articles which are 30% unique, and your articles will never be sold to anybody else!  They’re yours and yours only.

You can post them to your website, you can put them into an ebook - you can do almost anything with them (with your name as the author), except resell them.  That’s it!

Michelle’s new experiment

I had a meeting with an amazing entrepreneur yesterday and I have to say, he’s got me all excited about what’s to come for me and my business!

Anyway, one of his many projects involves a way to have your own website built automatically (yep, it can be done!), so I figured I’d set up a Home Equity Solutions website to see what would happen!

Also, he told me that one of the main keys to success and boosting a site’s ranking was to add regular, unique content on a regular basis.

This is so true. His suggestion was to add some content every week and soon enough you will begin to get found in the search engines.

Now, it’s been around 24 hours and I’m already ranked in Google after following the steps outlined in his tutorials. So I’m pretty impressed so far! It’ll be interesting to see how much traffic I’m getting over time and I’ll be sure to post my results!

Two new projects

This poor website has been a little neglected lately thanks to my two newest and very exciting projects:

This website is dedicated to helping business people get their business online through various advanced marketing strategies.  Offline advertising is very much yesterday, and more and more businesses are finding that in order to compete in the market they must be online.

Of course that’s all well and good, but most business don’t have the time to do all of their web content and marketing themselves, nor do many have the inclination or knowledge to do so, which is where I come in.

I’ll take all of the hard work off their hands and do everything for them - all they have to do is decide what they want done!

This project is even more exciting than my other one!  Over the last half a decade or so I’ve done more internet marketing courses than I care to think of, and working in the wealth creation industry over this time has meant that I’ve come into contact with a lot of people offering a lot of courses to help people make money online.

But there is a big gap in the internet marketing course industry, and over the last few weeks, this has really come to light as I have dealt with clients who have experienced this gap and have come to me for help.

So my plan (without giving away too much information - you’ll have to stay tuned to find out what it is!), is to fill this gap and really help people succeed online.

I finally have direction - The Website Marketing Coach is launched!

I’ve been flittering from one thing to another this week, but last night I finally had a bit of a brain wave and realised what it was I was trying to achieve through my latest online business venture.

Those who have been following my progress over the last few months already know that I now have a profitable freelance writing business, which is actually going so well that I am now in the process of hiring a writer to work for me. I just can’t keep up with the work!

Anyway, I now realise that writing all day every day for the rest of my life is not going to be fun, but luckily my mentor Barry is advancing me through to the next phase - website marketing!

I started a website last week (www.globalwebmarketingservices.com) but the name just didn’t “do it” for me. I wasn’t happy with the name and I’ve been searching for a replacement name for a while, and then late last night I finally came up with a name:

http://thewebsitemarketingcoach.com! Woohoo!

I’ve been coaching people for many years, but never thought to incorporate that into my website name, but hey! There it is!

$1000 a day? Is it possible?

If you are a regular visitor to this website you will know that I have been internet marketing for a while now.

My specialty is Article Marketing and I even coach people how to market online through article marketing to make money online within 30 days.

My last post even talked about my strategy!

Now here’s the thing.  A whole lot has changed since that last post and with the few minutes I have spare, I will tell you a little bit about it.

I was on the Warrior Forum last week when I came across a post written by a woman who was excited about the $20 clickbank sale she’d just made.  She had started in internet marketing seven months ago, and finally she had made some money.

Most responses to this post were congratulatory - except one.

This one guy was pretty much questioning what was so great about earning $20 in 7 months, stating that you could get more in a third world country!

And you know what?  He’s right!

But what he said next had me intrigued.

He talked about how people are making a LOT more than that in a much shorter time (some within a WEEK), and that anyone could do it.  Hmmm… interesting…!  He then went on to say that by following his strategy they could make $1000 a DAY writing articles!  What???

Ok, that was it.  I wanted to know more!  So I send him a private message, and asked him to tell me more - lots more!

He did and I thought, "I need this guy to be my mentor - NOW!".  So I asked him how much he charged for coaching.

He told me how much and I quickly dug out my credit card - I wasn’t letting this guy get away!

So just over a week ago (last Tuesday in fact) I received the first of 12 modules.  The main ebook was 90 pages long and I could not put it down.  This was amazing stuff!  Did it really work??  Could it be possible?  He guaranteed it would, so I went about following each step in the book.

So here I was, starting off my brand new outsourcing business with absolutely no experience or credibility!  But within one DAY after following his strategy I had my first client.

Each day after that I picked up more.  It’s only day 9 (I think!?) and a client I did some work for yesterday has asked me to do more for him.

I dropped out of school, and in English, I probably averaged a B or a C, so I definitely am not a brilliant writer!  But I can write and I can string a sentence together.  That’s all that I needed.

Now I have made back my first payment to my newfound best friend Barry who has been holding my hand so to speak, the entire time.  He is there to answer my questions and offer his feedback.  And going by the amount of money I have made to date, I am so grateful he has come into my life so I can embrace this opportunity to make a difference and improve my standard of life.

Online isn’t the only way to market your product or service

There are other ways (other than online) to promote your product or service and one way I like to do this through networking.

I love networking because not only do I come across people who can help me in my business, but I am often approached to help them in theirs.

The key to networking well is to be careful of the sales pitch. People don’t like to be sold to.

Of course when asked what you do, it’s important to have a short explanation ready. Keep it to less than a minute though, because people will drift off. I’m lucky to go over 20 seconds when explaining what I do because it’s pretty obvious what a web developer does (although I do elaborate a little when talking about the internet coaching that I do).

Be sure to dress appropriately when attending networking events, and have a stack of business cards on hand, in case the opportunity arises to hand them out.

Also, be mindful of the fact that first impressions count. If someone doesn’t like you, then they won’t give you any business!
