Michelle’s new experiment

I had a meeting with an amazing entrepreneur yesterday and I have to say, he’s got me all excited about what’s to come for me and my business!

Anyway, one of his many projects involves a way to have your own website built automatically (yep, it can be done!), so I figured I’d set up a Home Equity Solutions website to see what would happen! :-)

Also, he told me that one of the main keys to success and boosting a site’s ranking was to add regular, unique content on a regular basis.

This is so true. His suggestion was to add some content every week and soon enough you will begin to get found in the search engines.

Now, it’s been around 24 hours and I’m already ranked in Google after following the steps outlined in his tutorials. So I’m pretty impressed so far! It’ll be interesting to see how much traffic I’m getting over time and I’ll be sure to post my results!

Offline advertising - why it’s losing its effectiveness

More and more businesses are turning to online advertising and there’s a very good reason for that - most people are searching online now, and are therefore turning away from traditional advertising.

So what’s the point advertising in the Yellow Pages or the newspaper, if your prospects aren’t going to look there for your services?

Read more about what I have to say about this here: http://globalwebmarketingservices.com/latest-news/why-is-offline-advertising-losing-its-effectiveness/

What does your ideal client look like? Do you have any idea?

Understanding who you want your ideal client to be is the first step towards producing a marketing strategy that will drive them to you to buy your products.

So what does your ideal client look like?

Come and see what I’ve got to say about this at http://globalwebmarketingservices.com/online-business-tips/what-does-your-ideal-client-look-like/.

Is outsourcing your marketing services worth it?

For many online business owners, it’s really difficult to find the time to work on your business, let alone market your business!

But of course we all know that without marketing, people won’t know you exist, so it’s an important aspect of your business. But what about your existing customers? You have to look after them obviously, because they are more likely to buy from you a second time, than somebody new. You must keep this in mind when allocating your time and energy!

What if your days were already spent tweaking your existing products, creating new ones, or looking after your customers and there was no time for anything else?

That’s where Global Web Marketing Services comes in. All of your design and marketing requirements can be sorted in one central location. No longer will you have to deal with a web designer, marketing expert and freelance writer. You can even find somebody to help you create products - whatever you need, it’s all here in one central location, saving you time and effort.

Your time is valuable, so if you only have to deal with one person, then you are free to work on what’s important - and you may even be freed up to do what you really love - spending time with family, friends, or just relaxing!

I Now Make Money From Home!

Hey! It’s been a while since I last posted and I truly apologise - life has been amazingly hectic and has changed dramatically over the past few weeks, which I am going to tell you about now, in case you haven’t read of my story:

On May 19 I came across a gentleman called Barry Walls on a forum for internet marketers (the Warrior Forum - you may be familiar with it?). A woman had posted and was celebrating her success after being awarded $20 commission on a ClickBank sale. She had been working at it for 7 months.

People began responding to her post, congratulating her and offering her advice, when Barry came along.

Barry wasn’t so “congratulatory”! In fact, he said he could have gone to work in a third world country and walked away with more money! Of course this generated a lot of harsh posts towards him, but when reading what he had to say, I realised that he was 100% right in what he said. Ok, he didn’t have to be so harsh, but what he said was true.

What he also went on to say was that he could teach her to make more than that (he even suggested up to $1000 per DAY!) within only a few months. He even offered her FREE coaching! If I were her, I’d have been jumping at that chance!

But no, she did not take him up on his offer. I, on the other hand, wanted to know more - a LOT more, so I contacted him directly. I wanted to know what he was all about. He told me what he had been teaching people in the past and their results, and I wanted in, so asked him how much would he accept for him to coach me.

He told me that he almost had ready an online version of his coaching program (he’d been coaching face to face in the past), and he’d offer me a discount price if I was prepared to be a “guinea pig” so to speak.

My credit card was out within a millisecond and I got started!

So I began the course, which taught me how to get work writing articles for others. Prior to this I had been writing and submitting my own articles to article directories, and of course on my websites, so this wasn’t anything new, although I’d never written for somebody else before.

The course is really about building a business that eventually grows to a point where I can leverage more and more of my time as I complete each module.

6 weeks after I began the course, I was making enough to quit my job. I was pretty well-paid before in my job, so to see these results in only 6 weeks - I’ve never done a course in my life that offers that kind of payoff!

This post wasn’t supposed to be all about this course I’m doing though. It’s supposed to be about the goal I had written down a few months ago.

My goal was to be working from home and making more money than I was in my job. At this point it didn’t matter how much more - it just had to be more! :) The date I had written on my goal card was June 30.

I left my job on June 26! How good is THAT!!??

Now I truly believe that if I hadn’t written down that goal and wasn’t as specific as I was, I really don’t know if Barry Walls and I would have crossed paths. If we did, I’m not sure I would have tracked him down and insisted that he coach me!

So whatever your goal, be specific and write it down, and be sure to give yourself a due date for completion to generate a sense of urgency - you will be glad you did!

How to drive more traffic to your blog

June 17, 2009 by Michelle Green

If you want to know how to drive more traffic to your blog and you’ve been searching for answers to this question, you will probably find that there are many!

If you are not using pay per click (PPC) or other paid methods, how on earth do you compete against the millions upon millions of other websites out there?

My experience tells me that there are two great ways to drive traffic to your blog:

1.  Blog content - people are searching online to find an answer to a question or to solve a problem.  Do your blog posts solve this for them?  When they are searching online, if your blog post happens to contain the exact keywords they typed in, then chances are you may come up in the search engines.  This is not always the case though, especially if you are involved in a huge niche or your website is very new.  But there is another way:

2.  Use another website’s high ranking to help you get found.  What I mean by this is that if you submit articles to high-ranked article submission sites, you will find that you are able to draw more traffic to your blog.  Also, linking to your blog from your article, and if you submit articles often enough, the popularity of your website will very quickly increase.

Having sufficient, up to date content and submitting regular articles to article directories is a great way to increase your websites popularity, which will in turn increase the amount of traffic going to it, but if you’re short on time or you really can’t write well enough, then you have a little problem.

Or do you?

Well, not really!  And that is all thanks to "outsourcing"!

Outsourcing is really all about paying someone else to do something you can’t do yourself.  It is a lot cheaper than paying a staff member by the hour, and you are usually guaranteed work of a high quality before you have to pay any money!

In this day and age, we need to strive to become more efficient and therefore make the most of our productive time, so having someone else write your blog posts and your articles will help you to achieve just that.

$1000 a day? Is it possible?

If you are a regular visitor to this website you will know that I have been internet marketing for a while now.

My specialty is Article Marketing and I even coach people how to market online through article marketing to make money online within 30 days.

My last post even talked about my strategy!

Now here’s the thing.  A whole lot has changed since that last post and with the few minutes I have spare, I will tell you a little bit about it.

I was on the Warrior Forum last week when I came across a post written by a woman who was excited about the $20 clickbank sale she’d just made.  She had started in internet marketing seven months ago, and finally she had made some money.

Most responses to this post were congratulatory - except one.

This one guy was pretty much questioning what was so great about earning $20 in 7 months, stating that you could get more in a third world country!

And you know what?  He’s right!

But what he said next had me intrigued.

He talked about how people are making a LOT more than that in a much shorter time (some within a WEEK), and that anyone could do it.  Hmmm… interesting…!  He then went on to say that by following his strategy they could make $1000 a DAY writing articles!  What???

Ok, that was it.  I wanted to know more!  So I send him a private message, and asked him to tell me more - lots more!

He did and I thought, "I need this guy to be my mentor - NOW!".  So I asked him how much he charged for coaching.

He told me how much and I quickly dug out my credit card - I wasn’t letting this guy get away!

So just over a week ago (last Tuesday in fact) I received the first of 12 modules.  The main ebook was 90 pages long and I could not put it down.  This was amazing stuff!  Did it really work??  Could it be possible?  He guaranteed it would, so I went about following each step in the book.

So here I was, starting off my brand new outsourcing business with absolutely no experience or credibility!  But within one DAY after following his strategy I had my first client.

Each day after that I picked up more.  It’s only day 9 (I think!?) and a client I did some work for yesterday has asked me to do more for him.

I dropped out of school, and in English, I probably averaged a B or a C, so I definitely am not a brilliant writer!  But I can write and I can string a sentence together.  That’s all that I needed.

Now I have made back my first payment to my newfound best friend Barry who has been holding my hand so to speak, the entire time.  He is there to answer my questions and offer his feedback.  And going by the amount of money I have made to date, I am so grateful he has come into my life so I can embrace this opportunity to make a difference and improve my standard of life.

Ok, I have to run, so will finish off with a link to his limited offer coaching program:  http://thefabulouswebsitechick.com/link.php?id=9

Miss out on this and you will be extremely sorry.

More posts on this later too, so stay tuned.

The story of my success! How I made money online in only eleven days! Part 2

Yesterday I talked about how I worked out what was selling online.

I did this, then I had to do some keyword research by going to http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com. I was able to determine what most people were searching for online, and used this information to form the basis of my next steps!

By knowing what people are searching for, you can tailor the key phrases you use when blogging or writing articles, so you are more likely to be found by people searching for what you are selling.

This is one of the keys (I think) to achieving success online.

To find out how you can get full, step by step coaching on this strategy, check out my Coaching Program.

The story of my success! How I made money online in only eleven days! Part 1

For many years I have listened to expert internet marketers telling us to go deep into a niche if they have any hope of making money.

There are literally billions upon billions of people online and I really doubt that regardless of the competition, there is a chance that somebody, somewhere, will buy from you, if you are following a strategy that works!

What if you don’t go deep into a niche? Can you still make money online?

More than a year ago I tweaked a strategy I had come across and embarked on an experiment to see if it really did work.

I decided to give this strategy 30 days to make me some money, and I decided to go into one of the biggest niches around!

This was going to be very interesting!

Over the next few days, I am going to give you a sneak peak into my coaching program and you will know that yes, you can make money online, even if you don’t go deep into a niche, following my strategy!

Ok, so here’s where I started:

1. I first checked out what was selling online. There are a number of ways of doing this, however I decided to go one way initially, as part of my experiment.

By seeing what was selling online, I could determine what kind of product I was going to promote. This was key to my success I think. What’s the point in selling something that nobody wants to buy?

This step is explained fully in my coaching program.

Should I have a blog? Let me answer that question for you now!

I love using blogs for internet marketing. I find they are soooo much easier to maintain compared to “normal” html websites and they are great SEO tools too.

Here are 10 of the reasons why I think blogs are great!

1. Obviously you can use it to promote a product or service.

2. Opt-in forms can easily be added to your site to capture the names and email addresses of potential prospects for you to market to later.

3. Blogging on a regular basis helps the search engines to “fall in love” with you!

4. You can promote the products or services of others on your blog

5. Blogs are extremely versatile - you can add or remove features with the click of a button! Easy peasy!

6. You can easily interact with your website visitors.

7. They are sosososo quick and easy to build!

8. They can really look fabulous! There are literally thousands of themes out there for free download, or alternatively, you can pay for a premium theme to make your blog look even better like I have!

9. Your blog can help people to really get to know you (if that’s what you want, of course!)

10. It doesn’t even have to look like a blog - such as this website!

I use blogs for everything. They are simple to build and they look great. The search engines also love them, which means you will attract people to your website and hopefully make some sales!

If you’ve always thought only “technical” people can build blogs, then it’s time to think again. Building a blog is very easy to do, and by following the steps outlined in my coaching program, not only will you have your blog built quickly and easily, but you will also be on your way to making your first dollar online!
